Matchmaker: Mint Julips and Honey Trap

Urgh Mondays. Who needs ’em? Let’s distract ourselves by talking about a great winter combo: Lush Mint Julips and Honey Trap. If you’re a beauty lover with a sweet tooth, you will love this duo!

Mint Julips is a mint chocolate lip scrub that buffs your lips into smooth perfection. Β It contains Fair Trade castor sugar to gently exfoliate, jojoba oil to moisturise, and peppermint oil to cool. Just dip your finger in and rub onto your lips. Rub them together and lick off! I’ve had mine for 2 years now and have only used about a third of the jar, so it lasts for a while! To give you an idea of the sugar grain size, here are my poor lips after trying on all the lippies for our red lipstick post: (shout out to my nose hairs!)

Mint Julips is also great for getting colour off your lips. After using the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick for Rocky Horror, this was the only way I could get the stain off the next morning.

The second half of the duo, Honey Trap, is my favourite lip balm of all time. Smooth, soothing and made with white chocolate. What more could I ask for? It contains shea butter, beeswax, wheatgerm oil and almond oil to moisturise, oatmeal to soothe, and honey to protect. It’s not greasy, smells amazing, and makes my lips look and feel gooood. Win.

Mint Julips is available for R75 (25g) and Honey Trap for R65 (8g). What lip products do you recommend to keep those pouts make-out ready? And also how do you attract a make-out? Asking for a friend…

Have a good one my possums,

Mich

    1. That one smells amazing! I also really like the Popcorn flavour :)

  3. I’m going to try that combo. Roaccutan has made my lips so dry I need to try something new.

    1. Shame that stuff wreaks havoc on lips! Honey Trap is great, and Blistex DCT is also amazing. Just expensive :(

  4. You should try the Sara Happ lip scrubs. Those are great! :)

    1. I don’t think we get that brand here :( Pity, I need some creme brulee lip scrub in my life! Yum!
