“I want to suck your blooodddd” Vampire Nails tutorial

I love vampires. True Blood is probably in my top 10 shows so much so that I get like an overexcited puppy the day it airs and I might wet myself with glee. Lets just put it out there that I like real vampires. Not those sissy sparkly ones or those brooding teen vamps either. I like the ones who encompass the sexy and slightly aggressive vampire a la Eric Northman. Sho… Anyway back to the purpose of this post.

IΒ find plastic vampire teeth a nightmare, they get way too spitty, remind me of my bite guard and always go way too far back in my mouth and ends up making me gag. Ick. Sis. No. Β Today we’re doing vampire nails which is awesome because if you plan on being a vampire this Halloween you can still eat all the snacks and have a normal conversation with your fellow party goers.

Gather your tools: we used Rimmel Nail tip whitener R70, VAO nailpolish in Charming (R69.95 from Beauty Factory), Dischem Life Style False Nails (Princess) R44,95, a pair of nail clippers and a file.

Apply the false nails that fit to the pointer finger and the pinkies only, and once they are dry you can cut them into two points. I chose to cut mine before applying them to my fingers. Then, paint all of your nails solid white. A good quality white like this one goes on very opaque, but since I have trust issues with my nail polishes I chose to apply two coats and allowed it to dry 100%.

Finally, put a blob of red onto a piece of paper and use a little paintbrush to paint ‘blood’ on the ends of the two false nail points.

And voila! Whenever someone asks you what you are for Halloween, you can do this:
