Sleek Make-up Reviews

A few weeks back we were lucky enough to be sent a little box of surprises by Sleek Make Up. We’ve seen our favourite bloggers and YouTubers go on an on about how brilliant their products are (their contour kit being a cult product in their line). But unfortunately, never tried any of their offerings but felt often pervi about staring longingly at their site. While Jodi was doing one of her  infamous “if the house burnt down and all my products were gone and now I have to start over with no spending limit” internet shop peruse she noticed that Sleek is now available online. Score.

Here’s a round up of the lovely goodies Sleek so generously sent us:

Sleek BB Cream in Shade Light

Sleek BB Cream in Shade Light

Be Beautiful Blemish Balm is a your typical BB cream that promises to merge skincare properties with make-up. It has SPF 15, red algae extract to combat anti-aging and Vitamin C to brighten up your completion. It offers light to medium coverage depending on how much you product you use and this particular one is good with yellow undertones. Sleek also says this BB cream can be used as a primer and I agree as I often use mine as one due to the high silicone content.  Sleek provides 7 shades in their BB cream range – Beth

This is actually my favourite BB Cream I’ve tried to date. I wish it were an overstatement but it is really THAT good. I like very light coverage these days which meant this was made for me. It reminded me of a tinted moisturizer with a tiny bronze tint to even and make me glow as though I’d had a bit of a tan. It doesn’t cake around my nose or eyebrows throughout the day and more importantly it leaves my skin very soft. I was surprised to see how little I actually needed. With other BB Creams I’ve tried, I’ve had to use about a pea size to cover my whole face but the Sleek Be Beautiful Blemish Balm I managed to half the amount and still managed to have enough to blend into my neck also giving it more bang for your buck – Jodi

Sleek Oil Free Cream to Powder Foundation in Shell 465

Sleek Oil free Cream to Powder Foundation in Shell 465

This is the first cream to powder foundation I have ever tried so I was very excited to review it! This one provides a medium to full coverage and applies as a light-weight cream but dries to a matt texture. The finnish is kinda like if you applied liquid or cream foundation first then set with a powder. So it’s like skipping a step! I really like the idea of a cream to powder foundation because a cream foundation is much easier to blend but a powder foundation gives a flawless finish. So I guess this is the best of both worlds (in foundation land that is). I will say that it’s not for dry skinned babes, it will cling to any dry patches. But over all I think it’s of a high quality for it’s price range! This foundation contains SPF 15 and comes in 30 different shades. That’s a pretty impressive variety for a drugstore brand – Beth

Sleek Suede Effect Pressed Powder in SE02 867

Sleek Suede Effect Pressed Powder in SE02 867

This powder was unfortunately too dark for any of us to use as a pressed power but made for a fabulous contouring colour! It is relatively easy to blend had a silky texture with no shimmer. It was reasonably pigmented and was more on the warm than the cool toned side. It’s a nice product of the price, just like the cream to powder foundation  – Beth
