Last Thursday evening, all of us went to the Crabtree & Evelyn V&A Waterfront store to attend the launch of their 2013 Christmas Gift Collection. The theme this year is ‘Secret Garden’, with all their packaging featuring botanicals and key motifs. As usual, the shop made me long for a white Christmas in England!
When we arrived we were greeted with champagne and a Crabtree wrist ribbon sprayed with their new scent, Somerset Meadow (which smells seriously AMAZING). I love little touches like that! We then proceeded to eat all the mince pies (always puts me in a Christmas mood) while perving over all the amazing products in-store.
The two Christmas home fragrances are Noël and Gilded Chestnut. While the first was nice, Gilded Chestnut really excited us. There’s really no way to describe it other than it smells like Christmas. And it has butter in it. Butter! I rest my case.
As usual Crabtree & Evelyn killed it on the gift set front. You’d be daughter/mom/sister/employee/friend of the decade whichever one you chose. I for one am lusting after the massive hand therapy set. I’d mix them all together and be a moisturised beacon of awesomeness (albeit slightly strange-smelling). They also have beautiful Christmas ornaments made by Gisela Graham, and the cutest toy animals too (Jess was close to stealing the polar bear).
Some exciting things to look out for in Crabtree & Evelyn land…new Limited Edition Heritage fragrances (in stunning packaging of course), the new intense Perfumes of the Night Garden (I’m already in love with Ottoman Rose) and a Crabtree & Evelyn nail polish range! The colours look absolutely stunning, we can’t wait to try them out.
Thank you to all the Crabtree & Evelyn ladies, your friendliness and knowledge of the brand made our evening so enjoyable.
