Happy Friday readers!
Can’t you just taste the weekend? Anyway, this little tutorial might come in handy next week when you have to rock the work appropriate look again. I created a little, and most importantly, quick look for everyday at work and here it is…
So you’re gona want your base to last all day. I used a BB cream because that is what I actually use everyday. It’s easy to apply, doesn’t need more than 1 minute to blend and if you’re gona use something everyday I think an affordable BB cream is the way to go! I used the Garnier BB cream in light. I specifically don’t use the oil-free one because my face tends to dry out during the day and if I were using a foundation my dry patches would be seriously exposed come 5 o’clock.
I then applied a MAC paint in Bamboom all over my lip, extending to my lower lash line too. So these guys are the bomb because they apply wet and creamy (just like a little tube of paint) and are a dream to blend and then set about a minute later to become completely smudge proof. I mean if you didn’t wash you face for a week I’m pretty certain that stuff would stay on. You can rub your eyes, have a snooze at your desk, go out for lunch and dinner and this stuff will not budge. Try look for a cream or liquid shadow if you’re wanting your eye make-up to last a 9 hour work day. Pressed powders tend to bleed or crease and are absorbed faster by oily eyelids.
I then lined my waterline and tightline (upper lid under the lash roots) with a dark brown eye pencil from The Body Shop. I use brown during the day as black is a little too harsh and the contrast a bit intense for work. And lastly I applied a single coat of mascara, I used my fav Maybelline The Colossal Volum’ Express. And that’s all you need in the morning to look like you’ve put enough effort into your look to show that you care, but without it seeming like it took you 30mins prior to leaving the house :p.
Enjoy your weekend guys!
