NUXE Love from Paris Review

Bonjour mes amis!

Hope you’ve all had a sweet weekend and Monday’s treating you well so far! Today I want to talk about a bargain I found about a month ago…the NUXE Love from Paris gift set. I got it on Rubybox for R400 (down from R660). It includes 3 full-size products: the cult Huile Prodigieuse, Creme Prodigieuse and Contour des Yeux Prodigieux.

A little bit about the brand: NUXE is a French skincare brand that uses plant extracts as its main ingredients. The textures and fragrances are really luxurious and make you feel pretty damn fancy. I’m a huge fan of this brand because it’s cruelty free (neither the products themselves or its ingredients are tested on animals) and doesn’t contain mineral oils or parabens. I think you get a lot for your money with NUXE products, and have recently switched over to their cleanser and toner, as well as the products above. Here’s what I thought of the Love from Paris set products:

Huile Prodigieuse

This famous product is a multi-purpose dry oil that can be used on the face, body and hair. It’s made up of 6 plant oils (borage, sweet almond, St John’s Wort, camellia, hazelnut and macadamia) and vitamin E, making it extremely hydrating and softening without any greasiness. I’ve used this on my face at night and it’s the perfect remedy for seriously dry skin. It’s also awesome as a cuticle oil and tames my frizzy, coarse hair easily. I’d really recommend this product for anyone who has very dry skin, or coarse hair like mine. The warm fragrance is seriously delicious, and they’ve even made a perfume of it which hopefully we’ll get in SA soon!

Creme Prodigieuse

This is a day cream for combination skin, which is perfect for me. It claims to protect the skin from everyday stress and pollutants, whilst also hydrating and mattifying. It contains Blue Everlasting Flower extract, which is rich in antioxidants. It sinks in almost immediately and leaves a great base for make-up. It doesn’t have a sunscreen, which is a bit of a downer, but with such a light formula I’m happy to layer my SPF underneath. This is a really lovely product that I’d recommend for anyone with sensitive combination skin like mine, because it balances skin out perfectly.

Contour des Yeux Prodigieux

Jodi bought this eye cream a few months ago and I’ve been eyeing it out ever since. This also contains Blue Everlasting Flower extract, so it’s full of antioxidants. This cream is specifically formulated to target aging and puffiness, and is particularly good for anyone with sensitive eyes. I find it very light and soothing, and my eye area looks smooth and hydrated since I’ve been using it daily. A great de-puffing eye cream, I’m loving it :)

The set is still available on Rubybox here, so give it a look if you like the sound of these products!

Love, macarons and foux da fafa,
