Hello lovelies. We’re back with another product round up post – this is our best nail products from 2014. Let us know what your favourite nail products of last year were – we love hearing from you!
This isn’t really a product I know, but it’s been my favourite thing for my nails this year. I really do like Gelish, and the Ivory/white shades are just perfect for summer. I don’t even think I can count how many white gelish manicures I’ve had this year – eeeek.
Essie – barefoot and topless
This is the perfect beigey nude and the name sold it for me. I love that it makes your finger nails look like a mannequin’s hand. Really, really beautiful skin shade even if it isn’t the most long lasting.
LA Girl – Intimate
Again, another nude. This one is more pinky/neutral even if it does look beige in the photo. 90s are back with a vengeance people! The lasting power of this polish is incredible for the price. Go LA girl go!
Sally Hansen – Go Gold
I wrote a post on these polishes not too long ago so go check out more of an in depth review for this polish. But basically it’s matte, satin to be exact, white/gold and it stays put for everrrrrrr.
Sally Hansen Insta-dri Top Coat
This top coat never fails me! It keeps nails from chipping for ages plus it doesn’t dry out or get gloopy in the bottle (the most annoying thing ever).
Wet n Wild Mega Last Nail Color in Sugar Coat
I love this colour so much I bought it for my gran and mom too. It’s the perfect neutral pinky colour that looks like a nude on very pale gals like myself. It lasts pretty well too!
Sally Hansen Cuticle Rehab
I only bought this a few weeks ago but it’s definitely the best cuticle oil or balm that I’ve tried so far. The fairly thick texture means that it sticks to the cuticle for longer and seems to keep them moisturised for much longer than my other cuticle oils. My cuticles are terrible so I’ll keep you posted on how this transforms them!
The Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector
This shouldn’t be a surprise since I spoke about it in another post here. It’s thick and nourishing and a cult product that I was very late to get on board with. I really like a thick hand cream that I really can feel working it’s magic within minutes. I use this on my hands and feet and it’s bloody brilliant. The woody scent is hit and miss but I really love it since it’s not in your face at all.
Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Coconut
I have been obsessed with white and off-white nails all year and I got this one in London at Boots after lusting after a few of the Barry M colours. Coconut is more of an off white with a bit of a pinky-beige tone running through so it doesn’t give you Tippex nails.
Nails Inc in Baker Street (available at selected Clicks and Edgars stores)
This is a bit of a cheat. I don’t actually own this. Michelle however does so it counts. Nails Inc polishes do not need a million coats to get the true colour and Baker Street is such a fun primary colour blue (or an Yves Klein Blue colour all your art buffs). For some reason I’m so drawn to it and it really makes me happy.
