Take a deep breath, it’s Wednesday, you’re half way through the week and everything is going to be ok I promise.
Because it’s a new year and all of that resolutions shizz I’m really making an effort to work through the products that I already have before purchasing new ones, so prepare yourself for many empties posts from meeeee.
Dirty Works 8 in 1 Miracle Cream
This baby I was lucky enough to receive from Clicks (thanks guys!) and I really enjoyed it. It was really nice and hydrating and my skin really loved me when I used it. I will admit that my skin has been very happy lately, and I think this has a lot to do with the amount of moisture I’m piling on. I’m using a hydrating mask once a week and a very hydrating face cream (like this one). Would I repurchase it? For R99 yes I will, but only once I’ve finished some of my other moisturizers. I’ve really enjoying the hydrating face cream from Sorbet at the moment, but this Dirty Works one works better for my budget.
Piz Buin Tan & Protect
Ah, how I love this one. I will repurchase this again and again and again. It’s my number 1 product for summer (ok, maybe number 2 after my Nivea face sun cream – but I’ll be getting to that a bit later on). I love this product because it protects my skin and moisturises it at the same time. It also doesn’t have that strong sun cream smell – winning! It’s a bit pricey compared to other products (just over R200 – but depends where you’re buying it from, I’d go for Clicks – especially if you’ve got a Clicks card) but worth it in my opinion. Definitely going to be buying more for Bali!
LUSH Feeling Younger
Ok, full disclosure I’ve already repurchased this. This is my go-to highlighter and I’ve been using it exclusively for over a year. At R185 (and it lasts more than 12 months) this is a bargain! It’s also nice and easy to apply and it’s like a liquidy/cream kinda thing which is less scary for me than a powder.
Nivea Anti Aging Face Sun Cream
This is my go to sun cream for my face (I mean, it says it’s anti-aging, I love a good multitasking product!) It’s on Spree at the moment for R99 – buy it now! Seriously, I buy this every summer and it keeps my face protected from the sun and happy. It’s not too oily either – and it does give my skin just that little extra bit of moisture to keep it happy.
Bare Minerals Lash Domination
If we got Bare Minerals in SA I would repurchase this in a heartbeat. I got my hands on this mascara from an aunt visiting from Ireland – she came bearing gifts from duty free, I WISH I could get my hands on another one of these babies. This mascara gave my eyelashes SO much volume – and sometimes, if I applied just enough, I got asked if I was wearing falsies! (ok, that was one time, but I loved it). I also found that I never got any of those gross mascara clumps with this one – winning.
Smudge Kohl Eyeliner
Smudge eyeliners – I mean, I couldn’t really leave Clicks without buying one of these – it’s the same name as our blog! The first time I bought this I was rushing through Clicks trying to get everything that I needed and I realised I needed some eyeliner, saw this one, giggled at the name, and then bought it. Its a bargain (under R50) and really does last well. It’s not waterproof or anything like that – so don’t get your hopes so. For me, this is what I’m looking for in a kohl eyeliner – easy to apply, easy to remove, smudges a little (I like that Courtney Look love ok). Repurchase this one every time!
So there are my empties! Let me know if you’ve used any of these products and what you think. Also – what are your empties this month?
