Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks

Rimmel are cool and gave us some of their Moisure Renew lipsticks to play with!

Left to right: Coral Britannia, Let’s get Naked, Saved by the Bell & Back to Fuchsia

  • Vitamin A,C,E enriched formula that drenches lips in intense colour and moisture
  • Ultra lightweight, comfortable to wear all day with SPF 20 UV protection
  • A burst of brilliance in a rainbow of shades
  • Dermatologically tested.

Packaging  6 /10

Very drugstorey, silver bullet with plastic purple lid, be careful when transporting them as they may pop open in your bag.

Pigmentation 8/10

Because they are so moisturising they are easy to build in colour, which I really like, but is also easy to sheer out. My favourite out of the lot is Coral Britania because it adds just a wash of peachy/coral over your lips.

Longevity   7/10

Okay, so since they are not matte but rather full of juiciness I think they tend to have a shorter lip life. The fuchsia colour held on pretty well and I don’t mind the nudes fading as it wont be too noticeable once they are gone. To be 100% honest I didn’t wear them for hours but they seemed hold up quite nicely.

Application   7/10

Straight up standard lipstick shape, I would however recommend using a lip brush for the more opaque colours, especially with Back to Fuchsia, for the perfect application.

Overall    7/10

I like Rimmel, I like this range too and at R99,95, they are a good buy. I’m more of a matte girl but when I’m running to the shops and just need a lil sumthin’ sumthin’ I reach for one of these.

Almost weekend time!
