Hey guys!

Happy Wednesday – it’s hump day!

We recently got sent some new babies from Sally Hansen and we thought we’d let you know all about them.

And in the photo above you can see one coat (on the left) vs two coats (on the right). Excuse the claw hand, I just couldn’t do it any other way.

Ok, let’s start with the pastel green colour – 671 Moheato. I’m not 100% sold on this shade. It seems a bit too summery for me (to be fair, I’m not a huuuuge fan of bright colours on the nails, I generally prefer something neutral or rather dark). It does look a lot better after two shades though. What do you guys think about it?

Next we’ve got 331 Enchante, I quite like this colour, especially for winter. It’s like a nice dark neutral that is just waiting for me to pair with an all black outfit and some matching lipstick.

On to 547 Peach of Cake. With the first coat I thought this colour was pretty av, but after two coats I was thinking “yeah, I could do this” and thinking of the outfits I’d pair with it. It’s also pretty bright like the green, but it works.

375 SGT Preppy is a standard pinky colour – but it’s more opaque than some of the other brands I’ve tried out recently. After two coats you can barely see the nail underneath and this is what I like about it.

Lastly, my favourite, 641 Belle of the Ball. This colour has been on my nails nearly non stop since I got my hands on these nail polishes. I just find it goes with my winter wardrobe and vibe perfectly. After two coats – the red/purple metallic vibe is oh too good. I think it may have even replaced my standard black/grey nails that I usually rock during winter.

In general, I was really impressed with the quality of this nail polish. Paired with a top coat it can easily last me 5 or more days with out chipping Β (and I’m pretty hard on my nails, I’m talking dishwashing… the works!). If you’re looking to buy a good brand that lasts – try out Sally Hansen.

Let us know what you think of the Sally Hansen colours!

Love, cocktails and kisses

Jess

  1. I like the colour – Belle of the Ball – I’ve used to prefer darker colours, since my skin tone are light. But in Summer days i prefer some light colours ones – they are my pick up colours!

    1. Yeah – in summer need to have some lighter shades – Checkmate by Revlon is my go-to!

  2. […] 9. My favourite nail colour at the moment, that has hardly left my nails over the last month or so. Sally Hansen in Belle of the Ball. See the full post of Sally Hansen’s new colours here. […]
