Gift guide: shop local Part 1

Heeeeeeeyyyy, look at that. It’s the 1st of December. The perfect day to start our Christmas gift guide series. Yay for presents!

We’re starting with my favourite: A Christmas Gift Guide for shopping locally. I love supporting South African brands, so this gift guide is all about buying things for the important people in your life from South African businesses. Local is Lekker.

When thinking of all the businesses I wanted to feature in this local gift guide there were so many I realized I’d have to split it into a two part series.

Oh, how I love Zana. Look at all of these lovely things you can buy:

black specks pouch

Black Specks Pouch – R120

Gold Triangle Soft Pot – R140

Work Series Blog Laptop Sleeve – R390
{hint – I really wouldn’t mind getting one of these}

Naturals Beauty

What would this gift guide be without some beauty products?

Hydrating Masque -R72

A great idea for almost anyone you need to buy a Christmas present for (as long as they have Instagram, sorry mom). A Nifty250 voucher is perfect and the receiver of this lovely gift can decide whether they want to print the classic polaroids or the photo strips.  And at only R4 per print – winning!

Processed with VSCOcam with hb2 preset

Mungo and Jemima

Ah where to even start, one of my favorite shops. I popped in at the Watershed on the weekend and had to force myself to leave before I spent ALL my money.  I think these are some lovely present ideas:

FSP Jessica Bag – R2190
{I mean, it’s even named after me}

FEAT Men’s Donut & Beer Socks – R100

Lulu & Marula

Just a little bit more beauty Christmas gift ideas for you, just because we’re a beauty blog!

Calming Body Balm – R270

Who doesn’t want a little bit of jewelry this Christmas?

Meteor Studs – R230

Circle Bracelet – R230

Which one of the gift ideas above tickles your fancy? Let us know!

Love, reindeer and Christmas cheer

Note: If you’re a South African business (or know of one) that you’d like us to feature you in our next local gift guide, or somewhere on Smudged in the future – just pop us an email
